The United Arab Emirates is bracing for a significant rise in temperatures this week, with forecasts indicating that parts of Abu Dhabi could experience scorching highs of up to 48°C. According to meteorological predictions, areas such as Mezaira, Gasyoura, and Al Quaa in the Abu Dhabi emirate are expected to face these intense conditions on Thursday. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi city itself is projected to record a slightly lower temperature, reaching up to 43°C on the same day.
In Dubai, residents can anticipate somewhat cooler weather compared to Abu Dhabi, although temperatures there are still predicted to climb to 40°C by Thursday. This uptick in temperatures marks a shift from the relatively mild spring season that preceded it, a period characterized by occasional unsettled weather patterns. Recently, temperatures have been consistently rising above 40°C in various regions, indicating the imminent arrival of summer.
With the official start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere set for June 21, meteorologists predict that the hot weather will persist across the UAE in the coming weeks. The seasonal change is likely to bring continued high temperatures throughout the region as summer firmly establishes itself.
