INDIANAPOLIS—Carrier has initiated a comprehensive response to the deteriorating air quality stemming from widespread wildfires. This initiative aims to bolster public health and safety through advanced indoor air management solutions. Given that wildfire smoke contains fine particulate matter that can exacerbate respiratory and cardiovascular conditions, Carrier is advising residential and commercial property owners to adopt proactive measures. These include operating HVAC systems with high-efficiency filters, sealing structural gaps to prevent smoke infiltration, and utilizing HEPA-equipped portable air purifiers.
“Smoke should not be inside your home,” stated Nick Arch, Vice President of Residential Solutions at Carrier. “Our products are engineered to provide effective protection and peace of mind.”
Carrier has also demonstrated its commitment to public welfare through a recent $2.5 million contribution of air purifiers to frontline workers and educational institutions in Los Angeles.
