Temperatures in the United Arab Emirates are forecasted to soar up to 46°C in some inland areas on Saturday, raising concerns over extreme heat conditions. The National Center of Meteorology has also warned of high humidity levels that could lead to fog or mist, particularly overnight and during the early morning hours in coastal and inland regions.
While the weather is expected to remain generally fair to partly cloudy, with light to moderate winds, the inland areas will experience the highest temperatures ranging from 41°C to 46°C. Coastal areas and islands are likely to see temperatures between 36°C and 41°C, whereas mountain regions could have slightly cooler conditions, with temperatures ranging from 29°C to 35°C.
The humidity might reach up to 95% in certain areas, which could significantly reduce visibility due to the presence of fog or mist from late Saturday through Sunday morning. The forecast indicates that these conditions are likely to persist throughout the week, with potential cloud development over eastern parts of the country starting Monday afternoon, which might lead to convective cloud formations.
Fog or mist is anticipated to occur again during the night and early morning hours through Wednesday and Thursday. Winds are expected to strengthen occasionally, reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h. Despite these conditions, the sea is expected to remain generally calm, although there may be periods of moderate to rough conditions, particularly in the Sea of Oman.
