This robust economic relationship is further evidenced by the presence of approximately 2,000 German companies operating within the UAE, including prominent firms such as BMW, Siemens, ThyssenKrupp, and Deutsche Bahn. A significant milestone in their energy cooperation was reached in 2022 when the UAE and Germany signed an agreement to bolster energy security and industrial collaboration. This agreement includes provisions for UAE liquefied natural gas supplies to Germany and joint ventures aimed at advancing clean energy and climate-related projects. The political ties between the UAE and Germany were formally elevated through a strategic partnership agreement signed in 2004. This agreement encompasses various critical areas, including regional security, economic cooperation, and research, highlighting the commitment of both countries to deepen their collaborative efforts.
