In a significant meeting on Thursday, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in discussions with Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Ruler of Fujairah, in Abu Dhabi. The dialogue underscored the UAE’s dedication to fostering national development and enhancing the welfare of its citizens. The leaders reiterated their commitment to placing Emirati citizens at the forefront of the nation’s progress, viewing them as pivotal to achieving the UAE’s long-term goals. They also expressed their hopes for the continued security, prosperity, and advancement of the nation.
Sheikh Hamad was joined by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, during this meeting. A host of high-ranking officials were also in attendance, including Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and Sheikh Dr Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, along with various ministers and government officials.
This gathering is part of the ongoing consultations among UAE leadership, which are designed to evaluate national priorities and enhance cooperation across the emirates. The meetings aim to improve the quality of life for both citizens and residents through collaborative efforts. These regular consultations reflect the UAE leadership’s focus on strengthening intra-emirate relations and ensuring a shared vision for national development.
The discussion follows President Sheikh Mohamed’s visit to Fujairah in April, where he and Sheikh Hamad toured Fujairah Port. During that visit, they assessed the progress of ongoing development projects and operational improvements at the port, a critical maritime hub for the UAE. This previous engagement highlighted the leadership’s commitment to advancing infrastructure and operational efficiency in key sectors of the economy.
