Rain, strong winds, and dust storms are forecast for parts of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday, with temperatures potentially reaching up to 41°C in inland areas. Inland and mountainous regions may experience wind speeds of up to 50 km/h, which could lead to reduced visibility due to blowing dust.
The UAE’s weather conditions are expected to be fair to partly cloudy, with the formation of convective clouds over eastern areas that might spread to inland and western regions in the afternoon. These developments are linked to low-pressure systems affecting the country, bringing a possibility of rainfall.
Wind patterns are predicted to generally shift from southeast to northeast at speeds between 10 to 25 km/h, intensifying during cloud formation. Coastal areas and islands could see winds reaching up to 35 km/h. Inland temperatures are expected to range from 35°C to 41°C, while coastal temperatures may vary between 34°C and 38°C, and mountainous regions might see temperatures between 26°C and 32°C.
Humidity is anticipated to rise overnight into Thursday morning, potentially reaching up to 90% in some areas, which could lead to mist or fog, especially in coastal and inland locations. The Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain calm with slight sea conditions.
Further unsettled weather is forecast for Thursday, with clouds developing over eastern and western parts of the UAE, bringing another chance of rain. Winds could intensify to 40 km/h, accompanied by occasional blowing dust.
Looking ahead to Friday, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy with a possibility of afternoon rain in eastern areas. Increasing humidity levels could result in fog or mist overnight and into Saturday morning.
As the weekend progresses, temperatures are expected to gradually decline. Saturday may bring convective clouds over eastern and northern areas, while Sunday is forecast to be generally fair to partly cloudy. Humidity will continue to rise overnight into Monday morning, maintaining the risk of fog or mist.
