Residents of the United Arab Emirates should prepare for unsettled weather conditions as rain is anticipated across various parts of the country starting Tuesday. This weather pattern, characterized by strong winds and blowing dust, coincides with temperatures potentially reaching up to 40°C in inland areas.
The UAE’s National Center of Meteorology forecasts fair to partly cloudy skies, with convective clouds likely to develop over northern, eastern, and southern regions. These clouds bring a chance of rainfall, while wind speeds may vary from 10 to 25 km/h, occasionally escalating to 45 km/h inland and 40 km/h in mountainous areas.
Temperature variations are expected, with inland areas ranging between 35°C and 40°C, coastal regions and islands between 33°C and 37°C, and mountainous areas between 26°C and 32°C. Alongside the temperature shifts, humidity levels are projected to rise overnight into Wednesday morning, potentially leading to fog or mist in some coastal and inland areas.
The Arabian Gulf is expected to experience slight to moderate conditions, while the Oman Sea remains slight. The unsettled weather conditions are linked to a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a weak upper-level low-pressure system.
Forecasts indicate that this pattern of unstable weather may persist through Saturday. On Wednesday, northern and eastern regions might see the development of rain-bearing clouds, with wind speeds reaching up to 50 km/h. Eastern and southern areas could experience additional rainfall on Thursday, with further rain anticipated mainly in eastern regions on Friday and across northern and eastern areas on Saturday.
Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions as fog or mist could form overnight and during early morning hours in certain coastal and inland locations, especially in the western parts of the UAE.
