Amid growing uncertainties in global energy markets, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed has underscored the vital role of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). During a meeting at ADNOC’s headquarters, where he chaired the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, Sheikh Khaled evaluated the company’s operational and financial performance. He also emphasized strategies to ensure consistent energy supplies, particularly in light of recent maritime navigation challenges in the region.
Sheikh Khaled directed ADNOC to reinforce its standing as a comprehensive energy provider by integrating production, trading, and logistics. He stressed the critical nature of the company’s operational adaptability and its cohesive capabilities in addressing customer demands. This directive aims to enhance ADNOC’s responsiveness to the dynamic global energy landscape.
Additionally, Sheikh Khaled received an overview of ADNOC’s global liquefied natural gas (LNG) marketing and trading platform, which was launched in July. This platform is set to achieve a production target of 47 million tonnes per annum of marketable LNG beyond 2030. This expansion is expected to broaden supply choices for customers and fortify access to ADNOC’s expanding gas portfolio.
Before the committee meeting, Sheikh Khaled visited ADNOC’s emergency control center and engaged with employees and business continuity teams tasked with ensuring safe and efficient operations during potential disruptions. This visit highlighted the importance of maintaining operational integrity and safety in the face of challenges.
The meeting concentrated on enhancing ADNOC’s capability to adapt to shifting global energy conditions while ensuring the security and reliability of supplies to its customers. This focus on resilience and dependability reflects ADNOC’s commitment to meeting the evolving demands of the global energy sector.
